Alcoa Mills Products partners with Texarkana College for Job Training Grant

Alcoa Mills Products has partnered with Texarkana College to provide job training for 71 new and incumbent workers using a $109,581 Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). The grant will benefit workers in the Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas area.

Texas Workforce Commissioner, representing Labor, Julian Alvarez, spoke during a check presentation at the Alcoa plant in Nash, TX. “The partnership between Texarkana College and Alcoa Mills Products on this Skills Development Fund grant will benefit both the local community and its workforce,” said Commissioner Alvarez. “Our labor force is among the most talented and skilled in the world and we continue to seek and implement strategies to improve the skills of Texas workers.”
