SkillUp Northeast Texas is helping us build a workforce ecosystem that supports positive economic development through services for job seekers and employers. This is a FREE resource available to all residents in all Northeast Texas counties. Residents can complete online classes, explore career pathways and prepare for industry-recognized certifications to upgrade existing skills or learn new skills. Whether an individual is looking for a first job, a new job, or to advance their career, Metrix courses can help you get there. The Metrix E-Learning system has a catalog of over 4,000 courses that include topics such as business, information technology, manufacturing, customer service, finance and much more. WIOA provides funding for job search assistance and skills training for individuals in one of the following groups:- Adult: An individual who is 18 yrs of age or older and meets the following eligibility guidelines.
- Dislocated worker: An individual who has been laid-off or terminated and meets the following eligibility guidelines.
- Youth: An Individual who is 16-24 years of age and meets the following eligibility guidelines.

What type of training is available?
WIOA provides scholarships for training in occupations skills from an approved provider. For a complete list of occupations for which training is available, please visit Target Occupations.
