Workforce Solutions organizes youth-focused events such as career expos and employment experiences that help students and young adults learn about local industries, explore career pathways, and connect with employers. There are many experiences we have for youth specifically; our SEAL program helps youth with disabilities work during the summer to find a future career path; the Student Internship programs with area schools allow students to gain experience, industry connections and job skills directly related to their educational career path and our partnership with various employers and industry partners to offer the FLY - Financial Literacy for Youth program / LEAP program.

  • Summer Earn and Learn (SEAL) is a program offered in partnership with Texas Workforce Solutions - Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS).  To be eligible you must be a VRS customer and be referred by your VRS case manager into the program. One approved the SEAL participant and Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas work together to find you a summer employer sponsor and you will be placed with the employer sponsor for the duration of the summer program and be paid by for your services.
