Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas is responsible for the implementation and oversight of workforce development services in the nine-county Northeast Texas region, which includes Bowie, Cass, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Lamar, Morris, Red River, and Titus Counties. The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires Workforce Boards to develop strategic plans and set priorities for the regional workforce development system.
The Local Plan outlines the broad workforce and human resource needs for the region now and in the future. The plan includes both operational and strategic objectives for the Northeast Texas workforce system. The plan contains 2 appendices: 1.) Texas Workforce Investment Council Requirements 2.) Demand Occupations, Demand Industries, Target Occupations.
Workforce Solutions Northeast Texas is in the process of developing the 2025-2028 Local Workforce Development Plan. Per WIOA regulations the 2025-2028 Local Workforce Development Plan will be posted for a public comment period of no less than 15 and no more than 30 days. The Northeast Texas Workforce Development Plan is available for public comment from December 10, 2024 through January 3, 2025. The Board welcomes and will consider all comments on the plan. To be considered comments must be submitted via the public comment form link available below. Any comments received after the deadline will not be considered.
